100 g Poll Dorset - Mediterranée
100 g naturally dyed Organic Poll Dorset from an organically certified flock raised in France, combed and spun to a fine 4/14 for use as 4-ply fingering.
Springy and strong, with a light lustre and bags of versatility.
Méditerranée is dyed with weld and indigo, it is softly variegated in the same hues as the changing light on the Mediterranean Sea. I have dyed this in place of the darker turquoise hither-to known as Canigou. a new batch of Canigou will be appearing soon but under a different name as someone kindly pointed out that Canigou is not only the name of a sun drenched mountain in these parts but also that of a brand of dog food popular in the 1980's!
100 g is approximately 350m, i.e. 3.53 oz is approximately 380 yards.
We recommend that you use 2.00 - 3.75 mm (US 1 -5) knitting needles depending on the project undertaken.
Machine wash either cold or at 30ºC, wash dark colours separately for a while.
