A spectacularly colourful crescent shawl designed by Kieran Foley, using approximately 1100m / 1200 yards of our naturally dyed Blue-faced Leicester 4 ply yarn. The shawl is worked in 18 different colours and the pattern contains 21 different charts.
This is an intermediate knit, combining simple lace knitting and simple back-and-forth stranding with two colours per row. There are some long rows towards the end, and a narrow knitted-on border.
Needles: 2.75 mm - US 2 needles
Dimensions: a crescent, approximately 53cm/21in deep at centre back by 168cm/66in wide.
Gauge: approximately 26 sts and 30 rows = 10cm/4in in stranded knitting.
The Kit consists of:
A pack of 18 labeled hanks of naturally dyed Blue-faced Leicester 4-ply wool.
A 13 page pattern in English containing written and charted instructions.
