Renaissance Dyeing is a specialist in hand-dyed crewel wool.

During the last 130 years we have all become accustomed to chemical dyes with their strong positive shades. Today, only a small percentage of the population prefers the gentle harmonious tones of the natural dyes used exclusively before 1870. Consequently it is stores with a large, or very discerning, client's that tend to carry our wools. The yarns are also hand-dyed and not mass produced, which limits the supply.

If you are interested in seeing the natural dyed wools do contact us and we will let you know if there is a retailer near you. Alternatively you can order, from anywhere in the world, through this web site. Consider our offer of Textile Packs or order a few of your favourite shades from the two naturally dyed ranges.

Retailers who would like to sell our crewel please contact us for trade prices.
