Renaissance Dyeing Knitting Design Competition, 2009

Design Competition

Another year has passed and the summer beckons, time to get down to a bit of fun, designing the ultimate pattern for this years Renaissance Dyeing Designer Competition.

This years designers can enter one or more of three categories.

  • A) The 750m event, that being 3 x 250 m of Renaissance Dyeing lace weight yarn of in one or more colours.
  • B) The 365m event, that being a 100g hank of Renaissance Dyeing sock-weight yarn.
  • C) The 125m event, that being 5 x 25m skeins of Renaissance Dyeing crewel/ lace-weight yarn in one or more colours.

The rules are the same as last year except that the time will be a little shorter as this years entries need to be in by the 1st September at 5 p.m. GMT. All entries will receive a 15% refund of the total cost (including postage) of yarn used in the pattern.

The Three Winning Designers will have:

  • Their designs featured on the Renaissance Dyeing web-site.
  • A live link from the Renaissance Dyeing site and Ravelry to their own Etsy or site selling the pattern.
  • Thus ensuring that they receive 100% of the revenue of ALL patterns sold.
  • They will retain their copyright.
  • Thus enabling them to sell their design elsewhere without any restraints.
  • Receive a €40 Renaissance Dyeing gift voucher.
  • They will also receive a total refund for the yarn they used in their designs.

All entrants will receive a 15% refund on yarn used in their designs.
