Annotto Natural Dye Extract

$12.39 (10gms Annotto dye extract)

The pack consists of 10 gm of Annotto extract and instructions.

Annotto is produced from the orange outer seed casings of the Bixa orellana, a shrub native to South America but now grown world wide. The dye, bixin, produces orange, yellowish-red and salmon colours, which have a warm tint but are not as light-fast as Weld.

The addition of a little vinegar to the rinse water gives a redder hue.

Our Annotto dye extract comes from India and has been GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards) accredited.
