Thanksgiving Shawl designed by Sharon Miller

$86.38 (Thanksgiving Shawl Kit- without pattern)

A lace shawl knitting kit combining the skill and expertise of Heirloom Knitting and Renaissance Dyeing. The fine feathering in the border is inspired and enhanced by the choice of shades in our naturally dyed Indigo range.

Level *** For a fairly experienced knitter.

Needles: UK 10 / 3.35 mm / US circular needle - 30 ins / 80 cm long

Dimensions: approx 54 ins / 137 cm square

Undressed Tension is 3.25 ins x 1.25 ins / 83 mm x 32.5 mm over garter stitch 20 sts. x 20 rows with 3.25 mm needle

The shawl is made using an invisible cast on for the centre square and the borders are knitted from it as an expanding 'circle' knitting outwards. There are no seams in this method of construction. However instructions are included for flat knitting this design with regular needles if preferred. Full written instructions are given as well as charts, making it a good first lace knitting project.
