The Troubadour Range - 4-ply Organic Yarn
Our Organic 4 ply ( 4/14) yarn is from certified Organic Poll Dorset Sheep raised in France, it has been spun in the north of Italy (close to us) and hand dyed here in our dye house in France.
We feel that this wool has a very low carbon footprint as well as being a soft, springy, very strong. slightly lustrous and versatile yarn, ideal for socks, gloves, hats and sweaters etc.
It is dyed in dye lots of one and a half kilo, ensuring that you will have enough of one dye lot for larger projects.
The range is based for the most part on medieaval dyes and is inspired by the our regional history, rich with the echo of troubadours and their ladies, and the landscape and castles they frequented.
