100gm woad dyed Organic Poll Dorset, from an organically certified flock raised in France, combed and spun to a fine 4/14 for use as 4-ply.

Springy and strong, with a light lustre and bags of versatility.

Midi is hand dyed in an indigo dye vat as it would have been in the Midi at the time of the troubadours. Through the near East and Africa, many precious dyes including indigo were available to those who could pay in medieval Langued'oc.

100gm is approximately 344m, i.e. 3.53 oz is approximately 376 yards.

We recommend that you use 2.25m - 3.75 m (US 1 -5) knitting needles depending on the project undertaken.

Hand wash in warm water, wash dark colours separately for a while, this is the type of wool that gets even better with age.
