Miraval - 100g 4 ply/sock-weight Organic Poll Dorset

100gm plant dyed Organic Poll Dorset, from an organically certified flock raised in France, combed and spun to a fine 4/14 for use as 4-ply.

Springy and strong, with a light lustre and bags of versatility.

Miraval is hand dyed with weld and indigo, just as it could have been for the famous troubadour Raimon de Miraval in the 12th century in our sunny land of Oc. Although indigo was not grown locally it was available through trading with Africa and the Orient.

100gm is approximately 344m, i.e. 3.53 oz is approximately 376 yards.

We recommend that you use 2.25m - 3.75 m (US 1 -5) knitting needles depending on the project undertaken.

Hand wash in warm water, wash dark colours separately for a while, this is the type of wool that gets even better with age.
