100gm madder dyed Organic Poll Dorset, from an organically certified flock raised in France, combed and spun to a fine 4/14 for use as 4-ply.

Springy and strong, with a light lustre and bags of versatility.

Troubadour is hand dyed with madder which would have grown abundantly in the sunny Provence of the 12th century when the troubadours were singing in the southern courts.

100gm is approximately 344m, i.e. 3.53 oz is approximately 376 yards.

We recommend that you use 2.25m - 3.75 m (US 1 -5) knitting needles depending on the project undertaken.

Hand wash in warm water, wash dark colours separately for a while, this is the type of wool that gets even better with age.
