Ethical fashion show

This week the 9th. Ethical Fashion Show will open in Paris. Can you spot our 'Wall of Colour' on the Ethical Fashion / labels page? Over the years this series of shows has built up a much needed and ever more popular awareness of the sustainable sources of the clothes we choose to wear. This year there will be a small but important stand from the wool workers of France, a bright flag to slow fashion. This has been organised under the collective banner of ATELER by the indomitable Marie-Thérèse Chaupin.

Renaissance Dyeing is proud to be one of the 9 participants on this stand. So from our little dye-house to Paris we send a message that has always been close to my heart that small is beautiful, individual, local and most of all possible. There you will find a little sample book of some of our current kits by Marylene Lynx, Cécile Balladino and Kate Davis.

So the samples are on their way to Paris and now I can turn to our next big event which will be Les Journées International de la Laine in Felletin 26th - 28th October. Who we are flattered to see are also using an image of our 'Wall of Colour' on their stationary!. For those of you who can't get there or can't wait the new Blue-faced Leicester is in and we once more have Ecru, Pastel and D'Nimes up on the web-site.

So much talk about knitting wool what about the embroiderers I hear you cry. We are proud to tell you that we are working together with a teacher from the Royal School of Needlework, Lizzy Lansberry of Laurelin on some exclusive Crewel wool kits. Keep an eye out for the kits which will be ready and up on our website in the next month or so.
