Et le talentueux et humble M Bernard Oriol qui tisse en la laine et de la soie la fondation de nombreux trésors que nous avons vu à Lauris. J'ai acheté 5 m de gaze de laine. Vous pouvez voir qu'il soit enroulé sur son intrigant «mètre». Ses métiers sont vieux et pièces de rechange sont impossibles à trouver. Bientôt il prendra sa retraite. Espérons que quelqu'un se trouve à poursuivre son précieux travail. Pas d'internet, juste le téléphone.

And the talented and humble M Bernard Oriol who weaves in wool and silk the foundation of many of the treasures we saw in Lauris. I bought 5 m of wool scrim. You can see it being wound onto his intriguing 'metre'. His looms are old and replacement parts are impossible to find. Soon he will retire . Let us hope someone is found to carry on his precious work. He can only be reached by telephone and you need to speak French.
