Now we are settled back in the dye house and winding room after the businesses of the Paris show and the arrival of our new grand-daughter, I have time to put some things for sale on the web-site. Thank you Mojo Cat for the idea!

Le Lot et La Laine

As always we so enjoyed meeting so many of you at the Paris show in February and now we are turning our efforts a little nearer to home and preparing for the great French Woolfest, Le Lot et La Laine on 11th-12th July. . We will be joined this year by Hélène Marcy akka Eclatdusoleil who will be presenting her current and NEW designs created with Renaissance Dyeing yarn. You can already find Cherished knitted with our Blue-faced Leicester on our web-site.

Comme toujours, nous avons apprécié rencontrer beaucoup d'entre vous au salon de Paris en Février et maintenant nous tourner nos efforts un peu plus près de chez nous et se préparer à la grande Woolfest français, Le Lot et La Laine les 11 et 12 Juillet. Summer Natural Dye Workshop

The summer workshop will be from 17th - 21st August. I have been asked by many if I would do a workshop in my dye-house so you can bring your own wool and dye in larger quantities. The workshop will be divided into colour days:- Yellow, Red, Blue, Grey and Brown. Every day we will have an indigo vat of some sort going but have one other colour as the main theme. We will explore together, mordanting, one bath dyeing, (mordanting and dyeing at the same time), fermentation dyeing, exhausts, resists, fresh indigo and woad baths and the organic indigo bath. The course will be in English with enough French for you to DO and remember everything.

L'atelier d'été sera de 17-21 Août. J'ai été demandé par beaucoup si je ferais un atelier dans ma maison de teinture sorte que vous pouvez apporter votre propre laine et teindre en plus grandes quantités. L'atelier sera divisé en jours de couleur: - Jaune, Rouge, Bleu, Gris et Brown. Chaque jour, nous aurons une cuve de l'indigo, mais aussi avoir une autre couleur que le thème principal. Nous allons explorer ensemble, mordançage, une bain de teinture, (mordançage et la teinture en même temps), la teinture par fermentation, échappements, résiste, indigo et guède bains frais et le bain d'indigo organique. Le cours sera en anglais avec assez de français pour vous faire et n'oubliez pas tout.
