With the New Year we will be introducing a New Wool. We are very very pleased to have been able to buy some combed Merino D'Arles tops directly from a shepherds' co-operative in the east of France. This has cut out middlemen and given the shepherds a descent price for their wool. We have had the beautifully soft wool spun into a 4 ply yarn in Biella, Italy - no chemicals, just soap used in the washing process and no superwash. The finished yarn arrives this week and will soon be going through our vats and appearing on our site and at the spring salons, Some exciting designers have already shown an interest in working with it. So 2016 for us will be the Year of the Merinos D'Arles sheep.

Avec la nouvelle année, nous allons introduire une nouvelle laine. Nous sommes très très heureux d'avoir été en mesure d'acheter du ruban peigné Merino D'Arles directement auprès de d'une coopérative bergers dans l'est de la France. Cela a coupé les intermédiaires et étant donné les bergers un meilleur prix pour leur laine. Nous avons eu la laine filée en un fil 4 plis à Biella, Italie - pas de produits chimiques, juste savon utilisé dans le processus de lavage et ne superwash. Le fil fini arrive cette semaine et sera bientôt en passant par nos cuves et apparaîtra sur notre site et dans les salons de printemps, Certains concepteurs passionnants ont déjà montré un intérêt à travailler avec elle. Donc, 2016 sera pour nous l'année du mouton Mérinos d'Arles.

We are going to two new salons in France in the next few months. We are very proud to have been accepted at the artisanal Fête de la Laine from the 13-14th February in CREST (26), this is organised by La Toison d'Art. Please download the flyer for more information.

April 20-23rd you will be able to find our stand at the salon in Nantes, Pour L'Amour du Fil. We have heard that this is the crème de la crème so we are very much looking forward to seeing you there. 2016 salon information will be on their web-site by the end of the month. and we will soon have a few free tickets available. Watch the blog for info.

We will also be going to the Toison D'Art markets in the summer but more details will be announced later.

Natural Dyeing Workshops Summer 2016

We have been asked to do more workshops, so this year we have set two as jewels either side of the summer holidays: July 4-8th and August 22-26th. Each workshop will take only 6 students, so book early. .The workshops will be conducted in English. you can download more information here and the booking form
