New Year 2016 newsletter

Written by [email protected] on Jan. 12, 2016 in Dye House News, Events, La Laine, Natural Dye Plants, workshops

December Newsletter

Written by [email protected] on Dec. 16, 2014 in Dye House News, Lace Knitting, La Laine

Many of us are looking forward no doubt to a quiet family time next week, the nights are at their longest in the northern hemisphere and it is time to draw the curtains and hopefully relax. In our family we always look forward to the lights that shine indoors at this time of year but this year there is an extra bit of colour radiating through the superb Renaissance Stripes shawl created by Kieran Foley. It represents the natural dyeing work we do in a truly beautiful artist form.

Beaucoup d'entre nous sont impatients à un temps de famille ...

As you have probably read in our newsletter we had a lot of people asking at L'Aiguille en Fête what could be done with 12 skeins of our lace / crewel wool.

Andie is busy with her crochet hook at the moment but we thought it might be nice to throw the question open to you embroiderers, knitters and crocheters.

So what can YOU do with 12 or 18 of our 25m skeins?

For those wishing to participate and also for those that couldn't come to L'Aiguille en Fête we will make two on-line packages:

From Montbel to Paris

Written by [email protected] on March 5, 2013 in Dye House News, La Laine

It has been all go here hence the lack of Newsletters. We have moved house and been to l'Aigilles en Fête salon in Paris, It only takes one little sentence to write it but it seemed a lot more at the time! The new house is only 20 km away from the old one where Tee and Simon now live. The new dye-house is still in need of floors, windows, electricity and water, so I will be commuting to the old dye house for a month or so. Woad dyeing of the Poll Dorset will be the first in ...
