Monks cloth is similar to a Herta or 6 to 8 count Aida. It is softer and more pliable. Monks cloth is 100% cotton and it is 7 count. Monk’s cloth is distinctive because the weave is created with four vertical (warp) and four horizontal (weft) threads which form individual blocks.
