Classic Tweedy look scarf crocheted in two contrasting pure wool, lace-weight colours. Here shown in naturally dyed Dark Turquoise and Light Gold.Our lace-weight yarn is light, soft and strong so that your scarf remains very light and voluminous. Not only it is warm but however you wear it your scarf will still not weigh more than a feather around your neck.

Size

After blocking : 216 cm x 31 cm (around 85 x 12’’)

Gauge

10 cm (4’’) = around 12 patterns x 20 rows

Yarn Used

Lace weight merinos from Renaissance Dyeing.

  • 1 x 100g/1190m skein for the main colour (for example Dark Turquoise #1610)
  • 2 x 250m/22g skeins for the contrasting colour (for example Light Gold #1413)

Tools

  • A 3mm (UK 11 – US 3) crochet hook
  • A yarn needle to weave in the ends

The kit consists of

  • A pattern in English with written explanations plus charts. A download link will be sent with your order confirmation.
  • 100 g lace-weight merino yarn in 1610.
  • 2 x 250 gms lace-weight merino yarn in 1413.

Colour Substitution

You can always substitute colours to suit your taste and wardrobe. Choose any colour combination in our large range of lace weight yarn: one 100g hank for the main colour, and 2 x 250m skein for the second colour. You can also vary the spot color throughout the scarf if you like by ordering a variety of 25m skeins instead of 250m.
